Inventory intelligence for field operations
Know what’s on
every truck.
GridStock tracks material from warehouse to truck to job with QR scans your crews actually do, and tells you what to reorder before anyone runs out. Built with utility crews first. Ready for any trade that runs trucks.
The problem
Material walks.
Between the yard, a dozen trucks, and this week's jobs, nobody can say where anything is until it isn't there.
Rework, conflict resolution, and hunting for project information. Money spent producing nothing.
Each project team member loses a third of their week to problems better data would prevent.
Where is it, how many are left, which truck has it. The question GridStock answers in one scan.
Source: FMI × PlanGrid, “Construction Disconnected” (2018), a survey of nearly 600 U.S. construction leaders.
The system
One ledger. Zero guessing.
Every movement (receive, check-out, transfer, burn) is one scan. Quantities are derived from the ledger, never typed over. What the system says is what's true.
every hop = one scan = one ledger row
How it works
Four moves. That's the whole system.
Receive
Stock lands in the warehouse. Snap the box label and the count is read in for you.
Scan out
Techs scan the QR label, type a quantity, done. Two taps, gloves on.
Burn on the job
Material used in the field is costed to the job and crew automatically.
Reorder in time
Burn rates and reorder timing surface before the shelf is empty, not after.
Capabilities
Built for the yard, not the demo.
Every feature exists because a contractor loses money without it.
QR-driven movement
Every item gets a label. Any phone camera moves it. No app install, no training day.
Truck-level truth
A live manifest for every truck: what is on it, who drives it, and what it is missing for tomorrow.
Append-only ledger
Stock is never hand-edited. Every quantity derives from a movement you can audit.
Reorder intelligence
Trailing burn rates flag what runs out next week, with a suggested quantity instead of a guess.
Crew accountability
Movements carry who, which truck, which job. Accountability without the paperwork.
Reports that leave the building
Job costing and crew usage as clean spreadsheets your PM and your accountant both accept.
Who it's for
Any trade that runs trucks.
We build with utility and powerline crews first. The model underneath (warehouses, trucks, jobs, crews) fits every field trade.
Utility & powerline
Wire, connectors, grounding. Tracked from yard to structure.
Electrical & construction
Consumables and tools across crews that move every day.
Mechanical & field service
Truck stock that actually matches what the ticket needs.
“The first tool our techs didn’t fight.”
Operations manager, utility contractor (design-partner pilot)
Pricing
Priced by the fleet, not the head count.
You pay for the trucks you run. Every crew member scans for free, because charging per person is the fastest way to kill a scanning habit.
Per truck
5-truck minimum. Drops to $59 at 15 or more.

FAQ
Fair questions.
Is GridStock only for utility contractors?+
No. GridStock models warehouses, trucks, jobs, and crews, which is the shape of most field trades. We build shoulder-to-shoulder with utility and powerline crews first, and onboarding is guided, so electrical, mechanical, and any trade that runs trucks can start today.
Do field techs need to install an app?+
No. Labels are standard QR codes, and the phone camera opens the scan page in the browser. A tech can move material in under ten seconds the first time they try.
What happens when a crew makes a mistake?+
Nothing is ever hand-edited. A correction is posted as an adjustment movement, so the ledger stays complete and you can always see what happened and who fixed it.
Can technicians see material costs?+
No. Cost visibility is role-based: technicians see items and quantities, while managers and owners see values, job costing, and reports.
How do we get started?+
It starts with a short intro call so we understand your yard, your trucks, and your workflow. Then we set up your account with you: materials in (typed, spreadsheet, or described in plain English), labels printed, crews joined by code. Most teams are scanning the same week.
Is our data isolated?+
Tenant isolation is enforced in the database itself (Postgres row-level security), not just the application, plus role-based and truck-scoped access on top.
